How to attach GPS on a bicycle safely
How to attach GPS on a bicycle safely
I want to share with you my practical experience. We designed very useful device.
Many bikers use GPS navigators, usually they faced problem with breaking fasteners navigator.
Manufacturers don’t care about durability of fasteners, it’s a great marketing move on their part:
1st: broken fasteners which entails buying new. 50$ seems, at least inadequate price for piece of molded plastic.
2nd: buying new GPS instead broken also has a positive effect on sales.
GPS devices manufacturer’s policy certainly, very beneficial to them. I say this as a marketer.
But it’s unacceptable for us, consumers. Even if you don’t care about the money, you must care about reliability, especially away from home or civilization.
In this context we designed our own fastener.
This is simple and strong device which passed all possible test under different conditions all over the world: China, Crimea, Carpathians, Alps, Israel, India.
We’re very happy with it and would recommend to all avid cyclists.
The only problem is weight (about 150 grams). Steel is heavier than plastic, but much more reliable. It’s very important.
